First "Earth Concepts For Aliens" is up!

Yep, I got bored so decided to give it a go.

You can listen to the first episode here

You can either download it or stream it from the site, or subscribe via iTunes, Google, Yahoo, or just plain old vanilla XML.

I'll admit, this first episode was a little rushed just to make sure I actually did it. Have a listen and give me some feedback, either here or on the podcast page.

You took the plunge, well done! Do you feel better now that it's not bouncing around in your head?

I think the inclusion of music was a nice touch--it added an aire of "authenticity" to the recording, and helped to give it a more full sound (though, as a constructive criticism, I would say that it perhaps should be a little quieter during the majority of the recording, as it was slightly distracting).

It reminded me of a cross between a Monty Python sketch ("How Not to Be Seen" came to mind) and an entry in the Hitchhiker's Guide.

Yep, I was a little unsure of the music myself, but it was the only public domain music in the "1940's education video" style I could find.

The volume during the music varied enormously, so it was a choice of a little too loud in places, or inaudible during the majority of it. I need to learn the mixing software I have a little better.

For a Vlog, I recently found an RCA mini digital camcorder. Slightly better quality than a webcam, an hour of recording for just under 100 bucks.

I'll have to see if I can get my hands on one of those.

Anyway, thanks for giving me your thoughts!
